Add Page Numbers to PDF

Number all or selected pages in a position and format that suits your document.

Processed on your device — your PDF is never uploaded.

How to add PDF page numbers

  1. Choose a PDF and optionally select page ranges.
  2. Choose the starting number, position, format and edge margin.
  3. Apply the numbers and download a new PDF.

Example

Starting at 5 with “Page 1” format creates Page 5, Page 6 and so on.

Method

The number is drawn into each selected page using a built-in PDF font.

Limitations

Roman numerals and custom fonts are not included. Very small margins can clip text, so the minimum margin is eight points.

Privacy

The PDF and its filename remain on your device.
