Plan attendance against a target

The calculator reports current attendance, consecutive attended classes needed to reach the target, and immediately missable classes while staying at or above it.

How to use it

  1. Enter classes held and attended.
  2. Enter the required target.
  3. Select Calculate attendance.

Method

Current % = attended ÷ held × 100
Needed x satisfies (attended + x) ÷ (held + x) ≥ target
Missable x satisfies attended ÷ (held + x) ≥ target

Worked example

With 70 of 100 classes attended and a 75% target, attending the next 20 classes reaches 75%. No class can currently be missed while remaining at that target.

Assumptions and limitations

Assumes all future classes carry equal weight and are either attended or missed. Institutional rounding, subject-wise rules, practicals, condonation and cancelled classes may differ.

Frequently asked questions

How is current attendance calculated?

Classes attended are divided by classes held and multiplied by 100.

Can 100% attendance be regained after missing a class?

No. Future attendance can approach but not equal 100% after a missed class.

Why might my institution show a different result?

It may count cancelled, practical, subject-wise or condoned classes differently.
