FD Calculator
Estimate the maturity value and interest earned on a cumulative fixed deposit.
Estimate fixed deposit returns
A cumulative FD adds interest to the deposit so later periods can earn interest on the accumulated balance.
How to use it
- Enter the deposit amount.
- Enter the quoted annual interest rate.
- Enter the tenure in years and select compounding frequency.
- Select Calculate FD.
Formula
Maturity value = P × (1 + r ÷ n)⁽ⁿˣᵗ⁾
P is principal, r the annual rate, n the compounding periods per year and t the tenure in years.
Worked example
₹1,00,000 at 7% for 3 years with quarterly compounding grows to approximately ₹1,23,144, producing about ₹23,144 in interest before tax.
Assumptions and limitations
