Investment calculator

SIP Calculator

Project how monthly investments could grow over time at an assumed return.

Use decimals in whole-month increments, such as 1.5 years.

Returns are estimates and are not guaranteed.

Estimate SIP growth

A systematic investment plan invests a fixed amount regularly. This calculator assumes each monthly contribution is made at the beginning of the period.

How to use it

  1. Enter your monthly investment.
  2. Enter an assumed annual return.
  3. Enter the duration in years.
  4. Select Calculate SIP.

Formula

Maturity = P × [((1 + r)ⁿ − 1) ÷ r] × (1 + r)

P is the monthly investment, r the monthly return and n the number of months. At 0% return, maturity equals total contributions.

Worked example

Investing ₹10,000 monthly for 10 years at an assumed 12% annual return produces an estimated maturity value of about ₹23.23 lakh from ₹12 lakh invested.

Assumptions and limitations

This illustration assumes a constant monthly return derived by dividing the annual assumption by 12. Actual mutual-fund returns, NAVs and contribution dates will vary.
