Estimate PPF growth

This planning tool compounds equal annual contributions using one editable assumed rate.

How to use it

  1. Enter the annual contribution.
  2. Enter an assumed annual rate.
  3. Choose tenure and contribution timing.
  4. Select Calculate PPF.

Method

Beginning-year method: new balance = (previous balance + contribution) × (1 + rate)
End-year method: new balance = previous balance × (1 + rate) + contribution

Worked example

₹1,00,000 contributed at each year’s beginning for 15 years at an assumed 7% produces an estimated ₹26.89 lakh.

Assumptions and limitations

Informational estimate only. The rate is an assumption, not a current-rate claim. Actual notified rates, deposit dates, eligibility, limits, extensions, withdrawals and account rules may differ.

This annual model is not a transaction-date PPF calculation. Official PPF interest is notified from time to time and actual interest can depend on deposit timing within the financial year.

Frequently asked questions

Is the PPF interest rate fixed for the full tenure?

No. This tool uses one editable assumed rate; notified rates may change.

Why does contribution timing matter?

A start-of-year contribution earns interest for that assumed year, unlike an end-of-year contribution.

Is this an official maturity quote?

No. It is an informational estimate based on simplified assumptions.
